It is hard to find someone that doesn’t like dessert, especially when it is a delicious dessert pizza. You can’t go wrong with this tasty treat. Much like a regular pizza, there are several options and varieties with a dessert pizza. The following recipe is pretty simple, which is what we like. However, you can make it more complex if you’d like to create some of the ingredients from scratch. Either way, you can’t go wrong. Enjoy!
1 pkg. (18 oz.) refrigerated sugar cookie dough
1 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
1/3 cup sugar
4 cups assorted fresh fruit such as sliced strawberries, kiwis, bananas, peaches, blueberries or raspberries
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. For the crust, shape the cookie dough into a ball and place the dough in the center of a 13 inch round baking stone; flatten slightly with palm of hand. Using lightly floured fingertips, press dough into a 12-inch circle, about ¼ inch thick. Bake 18-20 minutes or until light golden brown. Carefully loosen cookie from baking stone with knife. Cool completely.
For toppings, combine cream cheese and sugar in bowl, mixing well. Spread mixture evenly over top of cookie. Slice fruit and arrange over cream cheese mixture. Chill. Cut into wedges or squares with a Pizza cutter.
